Xi Phi Chapter's and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc's Staten Island Alumnae Chapter's Annual Pre-Hallowe'en Party,

As always, thanks are in order; firstly to Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc's Staten Island Alumnae Chapter's President Uzoamaka Okoye who gets an assist for her role in helping find the talented bands that performed for Xi Phi Chapter's landmark (and never-to-be-imitated) jazz brunch; S.I.A.C's Wendy Artis for designing our marketing flyer, as well. Thank you to the aforementioned bands; we could not have done it without you! Guys, do not be surprised when your phones are ringing off of the hook in the very near future! Thank you to Kevin, Radka, Billy, Jennifer and Buck of Creole Restaurant in Harlem for treating Xi Phi Chapter and her guests like family. Your cuisine was stellar and I'm confident that our guests will become your guests, too.
We'd also like to thank all of guests for attending; we sincerely hope that we made you proud to be in our company yesterday. Again, to Edwin DeVaughn (of Omega National Treasure website "Que Nections" (Goldboot 1911)), Alex Stein, Jacob Warren, Nathaniel Jervey and Rob Felstead, our humblest, heartfelt thanks for assisting our Chapter in setting yet another standard on the fundraising landscape. WE'LL BE FOREVER GRATEFUL.
We also hope to see you all at our Eleventh Annual Pre-Hallowe'en Party, co-hosted by Delta Sigma Theta Sorority's Staten Island Alumnae Chapter on Friday, 26 October 2007 at Harlem's Head Over Heels Shoetique. We'll see you there!

Justice for the Jena 6
The lives of six young black men are being ruined by Jim Crow justice in Jena, Louisiana.
The District Attorney has refused to protect the rights of Jena's Black population and has turned the police and courts into instruments of intimidation and oppression.
We can help turn things around by making it a political liability for the authorities of Jena to continue the racist status quo, and by forcing the Governor of Louisiana to intervene.
Today is only the first step. Please join us.

GE in Eagles Training Camp

But nobody made a bigger impression than Moorestown High School graduate Dereck Faulkner.
The undrafted rookie wide receiver may be a dicey bet to make the Eagles' final 53-man roster, but he walked up to his first NFL training camp with style, in shiny gold work boots with fat purple laces.
"They're fraternity boots," said Faulkner, who explained that he joined Omega Psi Phi at Hampton two years ago. "Omegas like to say we travel 500 miles in these boots, and that's what it symbolizes to me.
"It shows a lot of hard work, and that the men that went in front of me did a lot of hard work to pave the way for me."
Faulkner's attitude may come in handy over the next few weeks, as the Eagles conduct camp for the 12th year at Lehigh. Rookies and selected veterans -- including starting quarterback Donovan McNabb -- reported Friday with the entire squad due by Monday
